Aircraft movement areas built by HEILIT+WOERNER: Safe, durable, cost-effective and convenient

We have developed cost-effective solutions for complex building tasks based on the slipforming method for constructing concrete aircraft movement areas. Successful projects in Germany and abroad are proof of our leading position both in low-cost construction work and equipment technology.

Examples are the aircraft movement areas at airports in Munich, Düsseldorf, Leipzig, Hong Kong, Kiev and Paris.

[1] Zurich Airport
In Switzerland, too, clients appreciate the quality and cost effectiveness of our construction methods. To construct the aircraft movement areas in concrete, a HW slipform paver was equipped withan electro-optical control system, elimi-nating the need for center pins and guide wires. The concrete was produced in a HW mixing plant.

[2] Leipzig/Halle Airport
The Leipzig/Halle Airport also got a 60 m wide runway to proven HW quality standards. The work was carried out in day and night shifts within four weeks and completed right on schedule.

[3] Calgary Airport
The taxiways and aprons for cargo planes were constructed using the concrete slipforming method, and some additional sections were laid in asphalt, mostly in night shifts. To assure the quality andcost effectiveness, we shipped one ofour WH slipform pavers complete witha work platform to Canada and sent a HW expert team to the site.
[4] Paris Airport
New-generation HW slipform pavers in ISO container size constructing parking areas and aprons for cargo planes.

[5] Munich Airport
At Munich Airport, the unevenness tolerance of the 60 meter-wide runways, constructed using the HW slipforming method, is less than 3mm - an achievement unparalleled anywhere in the world.
