| on cement bound-base or ballast track

Type BES, Line Mannheim-Karlsruhe, Contract Section Waghäusel, LOS 7
System Description
- Frost blanket in accordance with the required frostproof composition Cement-bound base or unbound base, designed according to the UIC 71 load pattern
- Reinforced tieless concrete slab, where necessary with support strip, designed according to the UIC 71 load pattern
- Use of certified rail fasteners (e.g. IOARG 336 / HILTI)
- Use of UIC 60 ribbon rails or contractor‘s rails
- Sound-absorbing linings and soundproofing equipment, as well as safety and guidance devices as required
- Tested in field service on the network of DB AG since 09/96 Technical certification by EBA dated January 14, 2002
Advantages
- Only few rigid track system components (cement-bound or unbound base, concrete base and single support point)
- Low overall height because without ties
- High track position accuracy because the support profiling can be precision-ground subsequently
- No random cracks and no interfacial cracks by calculated cracking control
- Suitable for modernization and new sections
- Can be used on soil bodies, bridges and in tunnels
- Easy to repair in the event of damage (replacement of damaged support points, repair or replacement by high-early-strength mortar or concrete)
- Trafficability for wheeled vehicles (e.g. in the case of accidents) ensured Short construction periods
- Low capital expenditure
References: HEILIT+WOERNER Bau GmbH has laid more than 250 kilometers of rigid track
